about

"Man on the Moon" is the long-awaited second album from talented UK producer Haka Beats, where he's refined his distinctive sound alongside some of the UK hip-hop scene's heavyweights for half an hour's blunted bliss.

The five year gap from debut "Underground Journeys" has allowed Haka to considerably expand his range and it shows palpably on this album; from the insistent, nostalgic key stabs which back childhood aspirations on "Vision", to the sinister organs found on "Don't Come Round Here".

Lighter tracks such as "Bank Holiday" and the aptly-named "Slow the Pace Down" serve to showcase Haka's versatility, whilst an inescapable quality of the album is the strength and cohesion of the featured artists.

"More than a Dream" and "Keeping it Baking" represent notable returns to form for legendary UK acts Blak Twang and So Solid Crew, with repeated cameos from recent torchbearers Youngs Teflon and Non Applicable more than welcome. Throw Kyza, Durrty Goodz and L dot Man in the mix and, all in all, you end up with nothing less than a premium slice of UK hip-hop at its best.
